Poker-Shop.co.uk covers poker news for readers in the UK: results and storylines from the live tournament circuit, online poker series, notable players and the business and regulation of the game.
What we publish
Our news desk follows established poker and gambling-industry reporting and turns it into short, original stories. News is produced with the help of automated tools; every story is written from published source reporting, and figures such as prize money, field sizes and buy-ins are automatically checked against that reporting before publication. Stories that cannot be verified this way are not published.
Alongside the news we keep a set of plain-English guides explaining how gambling is regulated in Great Britain: what the Gambling Commission licence means, how GAMSTOP works, what rules apply to bonuses and slot games, and what you give up when you play with an operator that is not licensed here.
What we do not do
- We do not operate gambling services or take bets.
- We do not publish tips, odds, predictions or promotional offers.
- We do not recommend operators that are not licensed by the Gambling Commission.
Staying in control
Gambling is for adults aged 18 and over. If gambling stops being fun, free and confidential help is available from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, 24 hours a day. You can exclude yourself from all UK-licensed online gambling through GAMSTOP, and most UK banks let you block gambling transactions on your card.
Corrections
