Calvin Anderson has added another World Series of Poker bracelet to his growing collection, winning the WSOP Online $777 buy-in no-limit hold’em Lucky 7’s event this week. According to Card Player, the victory is the 8th bracelet of his career and makes him just the 12th player in the history of the series to reach that mark.

The win was worth $48,914 and is Anderson’s 3rd online bracelet. Card Player reports that his career cashes now exceed $9.4 million. The title came in a lower-stakes no-limit hold’em format, a departure from the high-buy-in mixed games where he has built much of his reputation.

The result capped a productive year for the American. At the summer series at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, he won two titles. The first came in the $10,000 razz championship. That victory made him the most successful razz player in WSOP history, moving him ahead of all-time bracelet leader Phil Hellmuth in that discipline. Only 4 days later he won the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. championship. That was his 4th victory in one of the series’ championship events. His other championship wins are 2 in razz and the eight-game mix in 2024.

Anderson’s latest success puts him level with Daniel Negreanu and Nick Schulman, who each won their 8th bracelets earlier this summer. The group above them remains small. Hellmuth leads the all-time list with 17 bracelets and Phil Ivey is alone in 2nd place with 11. Erik Seidel, Johnny Chan and the late Doyle Brunson share 3rd place on 10 each. Michael Mizrachi, Benny Glaser, Johnny Moss and Shaun Deeb follow with 9 apiece.

The final table in the Lucky 7’s event featured several familiar names alongside a number of players listed only by their online usernames. Salvatore Dicarlo was the first to fall, finishing 9th for $4,446. Benjamin Felson came 8th for $5,717 and Nicholas Palma took 7th place for $6,987.

Usernames ‘BAND4BAND’ and ‘quadsimodo’ finished 6th and 5th, earning $9,528 and $13,340 respectively. Justin Vaysman was the last named player to bow out before the podium, collecting $19,692 in 4th place. ‘sT1LLonit’ finished 3rd for $27,315. ‘Joedontknowh’ was runner-up and took $36,209 after heads-up play against Anderson.

The victory strengthens Anderson’s standing as one of the most consistent bracelet winners of recent years. His wins now span live mixed-game championships and online no-limit hold’em. With Negreanu and Schulman also on 8, and four players just 1 bracelet ahead on 9, the middle of the all-time leaderboard is becoming increasingly crowded.
