Alejandro Lococo has added a major online title to his growing list of honours after winning the $1,050 Main Event at the 2026 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) on PokerStars. According to Card Player, the Argentinian topped a field of 2,310 entries across the four-day tournament and banked $343,242, the largest share of a prize pool that passed $2.3 million.

Lococo, who played under the screen name ‘[Papo]AR’, streamed the closing stages and his celebrations to his followers. He reached heads-up play with a dominant chip lead over the player known as ‘Goodarla’, who took home $244,673 as runner-up. Jorge ‘jorginho88’ Abreu finished third for $174,412. The rest of the final table was completed by ‘feedme12’, ‘calldeKhig’, ‘paco_cska20’, ‘Timmy_Twitch’, ‘Carboneraa’ and Julio ‘JúlioFantin’ Fantin, who left in ninth place for $22,882.

The deciding hand was not without drama. Lococo moved all in from the button holding Q♦4♠, and ‘Goodarla’ called with their few remaining chips holding 10♥7♥. The J♣6♣4♥ flop gave Lococo a pair of fours and kept him in front, but the 5♠ on the turn handed his opponent a host of extra outs to a straight. The 4♦ river sealed the title by giving Lococo three of a kind. Card Player reports that he leapt to his feet with his fists raised as friends rushed into the room, chanting “Dale campeón” and dancing in celebration. Messages of congratulations followed from across the game, including from bracelet winners Alex Livingston and Faraz Jaka.

Lococo was one of three players to claim a WCOOP Main Event title across the series’ different buy-in levels. Felipe ‘lipe piv’ Boianovsky won the $10,300 version of the event, while a Ukrainian player using the name ‘ihor888888’ took the $109 tier.

The online win is the latest milestone in a career that has accelerated sharply in recent years. Lococo’s best-known result came at the 2024 World Series of Poker Paradise festival, where he won the $500,000 buy-in Triton Million Invitational for $12,070,000. That victory brought him both his first WSOP bracelet and a Triton title. He came close to a second Triton trophy only weeks ago, finishing runner-up to Klemens Roiter in a $20,000 no-limit hold’em event at Triton Jeju.

His live record also includes a deep run in the WSOP Main Event in November 2021, when he reached the final table and finished seventh for $1,225,000. Card Player puts his total recorded tournament earnings at $16,981,726. In March he signed as an ambassador for the online poker platform CoinPoker.

Away from the felt, Lococo is better known to many as ‘Papo MC’, a rapper who won the Red Bull Batalla de los Gallos freestyle battle competition in 2016. He has more than 2.6 million subscribers on YouTube, giving him one of the larger audiences of any player currently active on the high-stakes circuit, and his streamed WCOOP win is likely to bring the series to a following well beyond the traditional poker community.
