A day after the UK leg was confirmed for Nottingham, attention turns across the Channel. The World Series of Poker Circuit lands on the Belgian coast next month, with Casino Middelkerke hosting nine ring events between Friday 6 November and Sunday 15 November.
French tour operator Texapoker is running the stop together with the casino, which trades as Betfirst by Partouche. In its festival announcement, Texapoker confirmed that the €1,500 Main Event is the centrepiece and that each of the nine ring winners will also pick up a $5,000 WSOP Paradise package for the series in The Bahamas, supplied by the WSOP itself.
Main Event starts on 11 November
The full nine event schedule published by PokerNews shows the €1,500 No Limit Hold’em Main Event getting under way on Wednesday 11 November. Players get 50,000 starting chips and blinds rise every 40 minutes. There are four Day 1 flights in total: three at 12:30 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, plus an evening Flight D from 20:00 on Friday 13 November. Day 2 is on Saturday 14 November and the survivors return on Sunday 15 November to play down to a champion. None of the published schedules lists a guarantee for it.
Eight of the nine ring events are No Limit Hold’em. The single exception is a €300 Omaha tournament on the closing weekend.
The ring schedule in full
- Friday 6 November: €300 Mini Main Event (four flights over 6 and 7 November)
- Sunday 8 November: €550 Seniors Event for players aged 50 and over
- Sunday 8 November: €550 Mystery Bounty (further flights on Monday 9 November)
- Tuesday 10 November: €500 Knockout
- Tuesday 10 November: €2,500 High Roller, the biggest buy-in of the festival
- Wednesday 11 November: €1,500 Main Event
- Saturday 14 November: €1,000 Deepstack
- Saturday 14 November: €300 Omaha
- Sunday 15 November: €350 Bigstack
A €15,000 trip to Paradise for the leaderboard winner
There is a second prize to chase on top of the rings. As PokerCity reports, Texapoker has set up a separate Middelkerke ranking within its Luxon Pay WSOP-C leaderboard, and whoever tops it at the end of the festival wins a WSOP Paradise package valued at €15,000. That bundle includes a tournament buy-in in The Bahamas, which the festival flyer names as the GGMillion$, along with thirteen hotel nights, buffet access and a contribution towards travel.
Points depend on three things: the size of the field, where a player finishes and how much the event costs. Results from every event count apart from satellites, but there is a catch. Only buy-ins paid through Luxon Pay earn leaderboard points, so a deep run in an event paid for any other way will not count towards the package.

Middelkerke runs on exactly the same dates as the WSOP Circuit UK stop at Dusk Till Dawn, which offers thirteen rings and a £1m guaranteed Main Event. British players chasing rings in November will have to choose between the two, although the Belgian series is the smaller of the pair and its Main Event begins later in the fortnight.
Belgium has a strong live poker tradition to draw on. PokerNews points to Kenny Hallaert, who has reached the WSOP Main Event final table twice, and bracelet winner Davidi Kitai as the country’s best known players. Whoever wins in Middelkerke will add their name to a Circuit that now feeds directly into the Paradise festival, where the WSOP has also lined up a $250,000 Pro-Am event for December.
Side events and satellites run alongside the ring schedule. Players should check the casino’s entry requirements before travelling, and full structures and reservations are available from Texapoker.
